What do we mean by Documentation?

As a school inspired by Reggio Emilia, documentation of the learning process is an integral part of creating student centered learning. Teachers spend time documenting students during the learning process. They take their noticing, reflect on it, use it to inform instruction and create documentation panels to invite others into the learning.

Teachers also display documentation within the classroom to help children observe themselves throughout the learning process. Students can be included in the creation of documentation as well. As you view our documentation, we hope you will notice and wonder about the learning that is taking place.
