BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE 

In our first year, we are striving to make our before and after school programs accessible to all families. We ask that for those who are able, please deposit money in your child’s account at the beginning of each month to cover the cost of that month’s services. For our families where this is not possible, we will bill you at the end of the month for the time used, with the payment due on the 7th of the next month. Families are able to deposit money into their child(ren)’s account at any time. Families will be notified via phone call and email when they have less than $15 in their accounts. Additional information on the process for adding money to accounts will be provided before August 30th, but we anticipate that families will be able to deposit funds electronically into student accounts through JMC (our student information system) in addition to paying by cash or check.

Before and after school care will be supervised by employees of the school and may include free play outside, quiet time inside, arts and crafts, reading, or other yet-to-be determined activities.

The cost of our program is $7 per hour for families that do not qualify for educational benefits as determined by the Applications for Educational Benefits completed in student enrollment packets. Before and after school care will be free for families that qualify for educational benefits. Before school care will run from 7:30-8:30 AM. After school care will run from 3:35- 5:30PM. While students can attend before or after school care for any length of time on days they’re scheduled, fees will be calculated in hour increments only. Students arriving before 8:30AM will be charged $7. Students departing between 3:45 and 4:30 will be charged $7. Students departing between 4:30 and 5:30 will be charged an additional $7. 

In our inaugural year, we do not have the capacity to support drop-in care. All students need to be registered for the day they wish to attend; it is expected that they will attend those days. Any changes in schedule need prior approval from the school office.

All rules that apply during our school day apply during our before and after school programs.
